EXPORT AREA MANAGER B.U. Gelato and Pastry
The ideal candidate for this position is a 28 to 35-year-old professional, with a demonstrated track record in international sales, either in direct or indirect distribution channels, but preferably both.
He/She should also possess solid management and negotiation skills with a suitable knowledge of marketing and/or trade-marketing dynamics.He/She must be fluent in English, both spoken and written, as well as in at least one other European language, preferably and in order of importance: German, French and/or Spanish.
At least 3-5 years of experience in the same job position is recommended, preferably in the management of distribution networks abroad related to companies in the Food & Beverage industry (CPG/FMCG/Food Ingredients).
A degree in economics, international business and/or law is a plus.
This position will be based in Bologna (Italy).
The candidate will report directly to the B.U. International Sales Director and will be responsible for managing a number of current clients and for developing sales in the assigned area or territory according to the target specified by the Company.
He/She has to identify new business opportunities through assessing the areas with the highest commercial potential by gauging the market size and the overall offering of competitors. He/She has to provide the export directors with valuable information and recommendations about ongoing market trends, new products being launched and promotional activities that will allow to weaken the competition’s efforts in that market.
It will be her/his responsibility to select, train and coordinate the external network of agents/distributors, while motivating the staff in vigorously pursuing the commercial goals set by the Company and monitoring their performance.
These tasks will require a travel time of 50% to 70% of the total time on the job.
Grading and salary will be commensurate with actual experience and the path of growth.
